The True STR3F-6HS Spec Series® three-section reach-in freezer operates at -10 degrees Fahrenheit, which is digitally displayed on the exterior in Fahrenheit or Celsius, so operators can keep an eye on it. Since the refrigeration system is mounted on the top, it does not run near floor debris and dust. This placement maximizes cabinet space, though it does operate in a warmer area of the kitchen than bottom-mounted units. An automatic defrost system melts ice that builds up on components, with cycles running on a timer and concluding when the temperature is back to an ideal level.

Chrome, adjustable shelves in the True STR3F-6HS three-section reach-in freezer hold stored items and have a wire design that encourages even airflow. LED lights in the refrigerator provide visibility. Self-closing to keep cold air inside, the doors have a stay-open design that enables users to load items if the doors are propped open past 120 degrees. Both the interior and exterior are made of heavy-duty stainless steel—a material that resists rusting and simplifies cleaning, while foamed-in-place insulation keeps cold air inside and prevents heat from entering the cabinet.
