Description

The Southbend S36A S-series restaurant range has a stainless steel front, sides, and removable shelf. Its 4-inch, stainless steel front rail keeps operators from leaning into the hot top and provides an area for setting down plates and pans. This model comes with six removable, cast iron grate tops, and the rear grates can hold a 14-inch-diameter stock pot. To eliminate messes, a crumb drawer sits underneath the burners to catch debris and grease.

The convection oven is heated by a U-shaped oven burner with a fan to ensure each dish is heated quickly and evenly. For heating efficiency, the top and four sides of the oven are insulated with self-supporting rock wool with a baffle assembly. The oven runs at a temperature adjustable between 175 and 550 degrees Fahrenheit, while the snap-action thermostat maintains temperature accuracy. This Southbend S36A gas range is heated by natural gas and has a 1/2-horsepower motor to power the convection fan. If the pilot light goes out, a flame failure safety device stops gas flow to the oven.
