The Manitowoc Ice IDT0900W Indigo NXT ice maker is designed to make large dice ice, a square cube that melts slowly, watering down drinks less than half-size or pellet ice does. Each piece measures ⁷/₈ inch on every side, and to ensure consistency, a sensor probe measures the cubes before they are harvested. Over a 24-hour period, this unit produces as much as 780 pounds of ice depending on the operating conditions, and the colder the environment and cooler the water supply, the more ice the machine will make.

This Manitowoc Ice IDT0900W ice machine can be programmed with the easyTouch display. On this screen, users can input a daily production goal or restrict operation to certain hours of the day. Constantly monitoring the machine for potential issues, the system will alert users if it finds a problem. It also alerts the operator when it is time for cleaning.

The foodzone, where ice is made, is accessible through the front, so users can simply swing open the front panel and remove the distribution tube, water trough, curtain, and sensor probe. All of these parts can be cleaned separately before they are returned to the unit, and several of the foodzone components feature AlphaSan protection, which slows mold growth and helps prevent slime from forming.

Note: This unit must be paired with an ice maker bin or ice dispenser.
