Great for displaying prechilled appetizers, entrees, sides, or desserts on buffet lines, the Hatco CWBR-2 drop-in well accommodates two 12-inch by 20-inch food pans. This 32-inch-wide by 27-inch-deep by 12-inch-tall unit can be dropped into a cutout as small as 30¹³/₁₀₀ inches wide by 25¹⁹/₁₀₀ or as large as 31 inches wide by 26 inches deep for a cohesive, recessed appearance. Its aluminized steel construction resists corrosion, withstands high-volume use, and complements other Hatco food wells for uniformity. To streamline operation, the included condensing unit and control panel ship loose and can be installed remotely; the condensing unit can be field mounted as far as 50 feet away from the unit, while the control panel includes 9-foot-long probe wires.

The Hatco CWBR-2 refrigerated drop-in well’s cold-wall construction uses R-513A refrigerant to hold foods at safe temperatures without drying them out. The well’s angled interior wall guides cool air into the unit, enabling it to blanket the two food pans. As holding requirements change, staff can adjust temperatures with the control panel. This controller includes an automatic defrost setting to ensure ice doesn’t build up and affect product quality or presentation. Between uses, residue can be expelled with the integrated 1-inch NPT brass drain. When condenser maintenance is required, this unit includes a sight glass, service valves, a receiver, and a filter/dryer to simplify the process.
