Garland GIR48
The Garland GIR48 salamander broiler is similar to a cheese melter, but it is designed for more intense cooking. Although it can melt cheese and toast bread, it also has the heat capacity to finish steaks, brown chicken, and broil fish. Infrared burners in the broiler provide heat in the cavity and are individually controlled by valves. Enhancing cooking flexibility even more, the rack assembly is adjustable to three positions so users can alter how close food is to the cooking surface.
Because the Garland GIR48 gas salamander broiler fits on the back of a 48-inch range, it increases cooking flexibility without taking up countertop space. The 351/2-inch-wide broiler is situated in the center of the flue riser. It is powered by natural gas, so it works best with ranges that are also natural gas powered.
