To keep warm dinnerware close to cooking equipment, the Carter-Hoffmann HP40 plate warmer can be mounted on counters or shelves. Plates as large as 12³/₄ inches diameter fit in this plate warmer, which can support 193 pounds. For heat retention, the cabinet has high-density insulation and a double-walled construction. Its powder-coated, flip-up door also holds heat inside while it is closed, and it opens conveniently, sliding up over the plates. Because the interior and exterior are made of stainless steel, this unit resists bending, scratching, and denting.

Providing even temperature levels inside the cabinet, the heating system in this Carter-Hoffmann HP40 heated plate holder is mounted in the top with convection fans to circulate air throughout the unit. Its standard interior temperature is preset at 155 degrees Fahrenheit, but the operator can set it at a level between 120 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit. To prevent oil from accumulating and damaging the components, the grease filter traps it, and this piece can be removed and hand washed or cleaned in the dishwasher.
