It cools with R404A refrigerant, and in optimal conditions it makes as much as 1,240 pounds of ice per day. If water and ambient temperatures are higher, it makes closer to 967 pounds of ice daily. To prevent water damage, the bearings are sealed and require no maintenance for operation.

The Scotsman FS1222W-32 flake ice maker is protected with AgION antimicrobial to slow the growth of bacteria and reduce the spread of germs in areas with high foot traffic. It provides one-touch cleaning capabilities to streamline maintenance, and its sealed bearings prevent water and other environmental damage. The auger, evaporator, and exterior finish are made of stainless steel to ensure they don’t rust or corrode with exposure to water and cleaning chemicals.
