The Scotsman FS1222R-32 Prodigy Plus ice maker measures 22 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 27 inches high to fit on top of an ice storage bin (sold separately). This durable stainless steel unit resists rust and corrosion to preserve its original look over time. Because it’s a remote-cooled system, it operates quietly, which is ideal for noise-sensitive environments. When air is 70 degrees Fahrenheit and incoming water is 50 degrees Fahrenheit, it produces 1,250 pounds of flake ice-soft ice commonly used to display seafood and produce in grocery stores.

For streamlined operation, the Scotsman FS1222R-32 ice machine head’s stainless steel auger and evaporator have few preventive maintenance requirements. AgION antimicrobial-an agent that slows bacterial growth between standard cleanings-is built into the unit’s key components to ensure they remain sanitary. Furthermore, the unit’s one-touch cleaning mechanism reduces hands-on tasks so operators can focus on other pressing needs. Because it has a front-breathing mechanism and doesn’t need side clearances, it increases flexibility in installation.
