For sanitary ice retrieval, the Scotsman NS0422W-1/B530P/KBT27 ice maker with bin comes with a scoop so employees don’t reach into the bin with their hands. The bin accommodates 536 pounds of ice for later use and is lined with polyethylene for sanitary storage. To prevent ice from melting, the bin is insulated with polyurethane. The door is spring loaded to facilitate opening and is hinged from the top. In ideal conditions, this unit makes 455 pounds of ice daily, but if ambient temperatures are higher it makes closer to 397 pounds per day.
The Scotsman NS0422W-1/B530P/KBT27 nugget ice maker with bin has a stainless steel finish for durability, and its evaporator and auger also are stainless steel to resist rust and corrosion. To streamline installation, the water-cooled condenser is self-contained, which reduces the risk for cross contamination. Cleaning happens at the touch of a button; to slow bacterial growth, this unit is protected by AgION antimicrobial.
