It makes flake ice, which is often used in healthcare because it minimizes choking risks. After making ice, the unit stores it in its built-in bin, which has a 36-pound capacity and comes with a scoop. The bin’s door has an ergonomic design that slides back and out of the way.

Designed for tight spaces, the Scotsman UF1415A-1 undercounter flake ice machine has a slim footprint, and the unit doesn’t require side clearances since it takes in and expels air from the front. Adjustable legs are included with the unit to maintain stability on uneven floors. If the legs are removed and an optional floor kit is used instead, the unit can fit under ADA-compliant counters.
